The B.I.R.D. (Backboard Inflatable Rescue Device) is a patent pending and innovative kit that can attach to most rigid rescue backboards adding an enhanced floatation aid that stay compact until needed.

This compact kit allows for easy storage while on the board, and can be deployed in seconds with the included rip cord and CO2 canister. It is a multi-use kit that can be moved between various plastic rescue boards or can remain on one. The B.I.R.D., once inflated, can aid in the flotation of the patient during various water rescue scenarios as well as aid in keeping the patient in place while simultaneously enhancing patient protection during transport.
